12 channel mixer with digital out

this is the cleanest and smallest mixer i've ever used,
the m8 has the same preamps as the famous soundcraft ghost which give a neat and very clear sound.
the brittish eq is awesome, the highs have alot of air and aren't sharp and the (sweepable) mids give you control over all the 'dirt' in your signal,
the lows are fixed at 60hz and can fatten up kicks & bass like crazy.
there are 8 mono channels and 4 stereo channels (+2 stereo aux returns, 2tk stereo input).
this is enough to record demo cds, first the drums on 10 tracks (use external preamps and connect to stereo inputs for more mics)
and then multitrack all the rest.
after recording some tests i was astonished with the sound, even playing back music sounds brilliant!
my previous mixers were alot bigger (studioaster sessionmix, studiomaster 16:4:2) and they sound ugly compared with this m8!
even the well known mackie vlz1604pro sounds harsh and dirty in comparison.
this mixer is small and light, easy to take with you for live gigs or local recordings, i think its a must to have for all small recordists.
im sure it will be a big step up from what you're using now since i honestly haven't heard one mixer of the same price range that
can even touch the m8's sonic quality!
every channel has a 100hz lowcut filter which is a must to have, too bad lots of other mixers don't have this!
what i love most about this mixer are the direct outs, which take the signal after the eq, exellent for recording,
no subgroups needed here! i always put them pre fader so i can make a different (fader)mix for the headphones that go to the musicians.
